The love of Dolls

When I was growing up my favourite doll was a Cabbage Patch kid her name is Regina. I say is because she is still close by.

I can't remember why I received her most likely a birthday but I can still remember the first time I saw her in her box, I must have been around 6-7 years old. Those were the days when children appreciated a toy and did not always expect to get what they wanted. That magic is some times  lost amongst children these days with our immense desire to provide our children with everything that we never had. Amongst all that we have created children with no genuine love for the items they have. I know my children will want something and once they get it they play for a while maybe a month or two and then it gets shoved in the cupboard or under the bed to be forgotten about because they now want something else.

When I was 8 my Mother and Father decided to sell everything pack up our van with all our essential belongings and move our family to my mothers birth state Tasmania. Regina travelled with me from Adelaide to Tasmania. She went every where, slept with me every night and was loved not just for a few months but a life time.

After growing older and marrying, Regina stayed with me in hopes that I could pass her on to my daughter. After my 4th son was born I knew Regina was not going to be staying in our family so she was given to a very dear friend of mine who has 5 Grand daughters much better idea I thought than her living in a box gathering dust. It was only the other day I was visiting when I saw Regina again sitting happily on the bed just as she had when she was mine and so glad she is still loved.

Tamar Valley Kids are all created with this love in mind love and memories that will stay with them for the rest of there lives and not discarded after a few months.

And what a Market it was The New Exeter Market was far more than I expected so many people stopping by and the quality of stall holders was remarkable not to mention the smooth running of the days events thanks to Allie and crew.

The dolls had a great day out and can't wait for the next market next month with three dolls finding new homes thay are all now super excited.

We saw lots of dolls making there debut as well. Mum had even kept some a secret from me so I was meeting some for the very first time.

Looking forward to seeing more people at the next Exeter Market in September now the word has spread and they all know what to expect, lots of great high quality wares and cashed up ready to spend, spend spend.
